Eric W. Willis is a writer, reader, sometimes editor, visual artist, traveler, and caretaker of two lively fish and two even more lively felines.  He is a graduate of the Bluegrass Writers Studio at Eastern Kentucky University with a focus on narrative creative nonfiction.  His writing has been published and anthologized across a variety of platforms.  He lives and works in the heart of Kentucky.

His art and design is sold under the business name You're Awesome Design Machine, an entity created by the artist in 2016.  His work had appeared in various gallery shows and juried art festivals.  His artwork focuses on wood and paper media. Wood designs employ a burnt in design technique colored with water-based wood stains. Much of his work is designed to reflect the inherent beauty of the material the work is made from along with the often unseen and overlooked potential beneath the surface, a duality of truths. The artist works from the idea that objects and ideas can hold more than one truth at once and that, as humans, we can embody more than one sense of being at the same time.
